About the Role We are currently looking for a Night Shift Stores Team Leader to join our dynamic team at our Mt Wellington depot. In this essential role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our warehouse during the night shifts. Your focus will be on ensuring smooth product handling, effective inventory management, and strong team coordination. Key responsibilities in this role include: - Leading and motivating a team of store associates during night shift operations. - Ensuring efficient and safe unloading of containers. - Maintaining accuracy in scanning and warehouse management systems. - Overseeing the timely placement of pallets from containers into frozen, chilled, and ambient chambers. - Leading cross-dock picking activities for Inghams with precision and timeliness. - Promoting a safety-first attitude by leading from the front in health and safety initiatives. - Ensuring all products are handled in accordance with customer specifications and company standards. - Managing inventory accuracy and maintaining appropriate load documentation. - Allocating daily work tasks and monitoring their completion. - Training team members on various tasks and equipment operations. - Verifying that team members possess the necessary licenses for assigned equipment. - Collaborating with other departments to enhance warehouse operations. - Implementing and maintaining safety protocols during night shift activities. - Monitoring team performance and providing constructive feedback. - Resolving any issues or conflicts that arise during the shift. - Preparing and submitting accurate shift reports to management. Requirements To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following qualifications: - A minimum of 2 years' experience in a stores or warehouse environment. - Proven leadership experience, preferably in a night shift setting. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. - Strong organizational and time management abilities. - Availability to work night shifts from Sunday to Thursday, typically from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM. - Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations. - Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a warehouse environment. - Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. - Valid forklift certification is preferred. - A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in logistics or a related field is a plus.
