About the Role We are seeking motivated and high-performing students to join our process engineering team at our Dunsandel site this summer, from November to January. As a Summer Student Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to gain real-world experience while working closely with our production and quality teams to optimize dairy processing operations. In this role, you will focus on identifying and applying quantification methods for sample analysis, collecting and analyzing production samples, and investigating potential process improvements. Whenever feasible, you will support the evaluation of your recommendations on a production scale. What You’ll Be Working On Your responsibilities will include: - Assisting in the evaluation of production-scale implementation of process improvements, as time and schedule allow. - Identifying suitable quantification methods for sample analysis. - Collecting samples for laboratory analysis and conducting investigations. - Providing practical recommendations to enhance production line efficiency. Requirements We are looking for candidates who are third or final year students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Food Process Engineering, Process Engineering, or Chemical Engineering. The ideal candidates will possess the following qualities: - A curiosity about the dairy industry and an interest in Synlait’s operations. - A proactive mindset with a strong eagerness to learn. - An analytical approach to problem-solving. - Attention to detail and the ability to communicate findings clearly. - Motivation and readiness to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
