About the Role
We are seeking Immunology Registrars for the 2026 Training Year in Auckland, Waitemata, and Counties Manukau. This role is ideal for those pursuing Advanced Training in Clinical Immunology and Allergy. As a registrar, you will care for patients with various immune system disorders, including allergic conditions, immune deficiencies, and autoimmune diseases. The majority of this position will focus on outpatient care within a dedicated Immunology day stay unit.
The Medicine Registrar runs in the Auckland region typically last six months, after which you may rotate to a different run. Further details about run descriptions for the 2025 training year can be found on the Auckland Doctors website.

About You
To be considered for this role, you must have passed the FRACP written and clinical exams and completed your basic training. We highly recommend prior application to the Specialty Advisory Committee (SAC) for Immunology to ensure your rotations are accredited for advanced training. Eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand is required, and we will provide support and assistance throughout this process.
This position also includes a six-month rotation for those interested in gaining Immunology Medicine experience as part of their General Medicine or specialty training. You must be at least a Basic Trainee Registrar with the RACP and eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
If you are currently an Advanced Trainee in Immunology and employed in the Auckland region, you do not need to apply through this listing, as you will meet independently with your specialty.
Important Note
Even if you are an existing RMO employee in the Auckland region seeking a six-month allocation or applying for advanced training in Immunology, you are required to submit a formal application.
