About the Role
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Assistant to join our Adult Inpatient Mental Health Team at Tauranga Hospital. This position will be based in Te Whare Maiangiangi, our Adult Inpatient Unit, which serves clients aged 18 to 65.
Our team is composed of skilled professionals from various disciplines, including nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and a Pou Kokiri cultural advisor. We foster a nurturing team culture that emphasizes support for both your role and your overall wellbeing. We are dedicated to promoting active learning, both practically and academically, and are passionate about improving health outcomes for individuals entering our unit.

About You
The ideal candidate will possess a Level 4 Health Care Assistant qualification or an equivalent certification, or be willing to pursue the necessary training. Experience in a mental health setting or a related field is desirable.
