About the Role
We are currently seeking motivated individuals for permanent part-time Health Care Assistant (HCA) positions at Tauranga Hospital. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are interested in working within a Critical Care unit, this opportunity may be for you.
The HCA role involves assisting our Registered Nurses in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in the Critical Care unit. You will work under the guidance of our dedicated nursing team, contributing to comprehensive care for a variety of patient conditions. Responsibilities include operating and cleaning high-tech equipment, and you will be joining our team during a period of expansion and growth. We offer a range of educational opportunities, training, and support to help you succeed in this role.
These permanent positions come with a variety of hours to suit your availability.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU) is an active, acute inpatient unit staffed by a collaborative team of medical, nursing, and allied health professionals. We provide intensive care, high dependency, and coronary care for up to 20 patients. The unit is located on the third floor of Tauranga Hospital, an area known for its vibrant community and beautiful surroundings.
About You
We are looking for candidates who possess a Level 4 Health Care Assistance certificate or an equivalent qualification, along with current experience working as an HCA in a healthcare setting or a related field.
Ideal candidates will be:

- Possessing a positive, can-do attitude
You should also be available to work rostered shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and nights, across all seven days of the week.
