About the Role
We are seeking a Qualified Cardiac Sonographer to join our dynamic Cardiac Physiology and Sonography Team. This position is based in New Zealand, specifically in the Manawatu region, and we are looking for someone who can start immediately or is willing to relocate.
This is a part-time role at 0.8 FTE, equating to 32 hours per week. The successful candidate will be involved in inpatient, outpatient, and outreach clinics within the District Health Board (DHB), as well as contribute to regional service development. There may also be an on-call requirement in the future.
We invite applications from qualified and experienced Cardiac Sonographers. We are looking for candidates with expertise in all aspects of Cardiac Sonography. Our MidCentral Health Cardiology team offers an integrated service that includes echocardiography, pacing follow-ups, implants, cardiac angiography, and diagnostic testing.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and experience:
- Current registration as a Cardiac Sonographer with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB) is essential.
- An annual practicing certificate.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as a registered Cardiac Sonographer.
- A Full NZ driver’s license and a willingness to travel to outlying clinics as required.
- Availability to start as soon as possible (negotiable).
In this role, you will engage in various procedures, including:
- All aspects of Cardiac Sonography, with experience in Transesophageal Echocardiography (TOE), Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE), pediatric studies, complex adult congenital studies, stress echocardiography, and bubble studies.
- Participation in the on-call roster and outreach clinics in the future.
- Some Saturday work and overtime may be required.
