About the Role
We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a permanent Radiation Therapist position at New Zealand's first outreach treatment site. We are seeking enthusiastic Radiation Therapists who are interested in working based in Palmerston North.
The Regional Cancer Treatment Service (RCTS) serves as the non-surgical cancer treatment provider for the central North Island, covering a population of approximately 580,000 across the Midcentral, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Whanganui, and Wairarapa Districts. Traditionally, all radiation treatments have been conducted in Palmerston North, but this is evolving to better serve our patients in the Taranaki and Hawkes Bay regions. If you are interested in working in one of these locations, this position is part of that developmental pathway.
RCTS is home to New Zealand's newest linac fleet (TrueBeam) and is supported by advanced planning systems (RayStation). Our team is committed to a strong culture of patient-centered care and focuses on providing high-quality Radiation Therapy to our large regional population.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- Registration as a Radiation Therapist with the Medical Radiation Technologist Board (NZ) and a current practicing certificate.
- Skills in effective communication and cultural competence, integrating evidence-based best practice models into their work.
- A proactive approach to professional development and support for others in their growth.
- Participation in service improvement initiatives and promotion of evidence-based practice.
- Flexibility to work across multiple locations.
