About the Role
We are currently seeking a permanent part-time team member to join our Emergency Department at Whakatane Hospital. This position is for 0.8 FTE, which equates to 32 hours per week. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced and diverse environment, catering to both adults and children.
You will collaborate with a skilled team that includes Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and experienced Registered Nurses, all supported by Health Care Assistants, clerical staff, and the medical team. We provide comprehensive orientation and professional development opportunities to equip you for delivering outstanding care in this essential service.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our Emergency Department plays a crucial role in the community, operating in a dynamic and supportive atmosphere. Situated in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, the region is known for its picturesque beaches, lush mountains, and vibrant community life, offering an excellent balance of professional development and lifestyle opportunities.
About You
We are looking for a skilled and adaptable professional who approaches care delivery collaboratively. While previous experience in acute care is beneficial, we welcome applications from individuals eager to enhance their skills in this area.
To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Previous experience in an Emergency Department or acute care setting is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
