About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced digger operators to join our team for exciting civil projects in Whakatane and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled operators looking for immediate work with leading contractors. Role Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Operating excavators ranging from 1.5T to 20T for tasks including drainage, trenching, bulk earthworks, and site preparation.
- Collaborating with ground crews to ensure operations run efficiently and safely.
- Conducting daily maintenance checks on equipment and reporting any issues.
- Adhering to site health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- Proven experience operating diggers in a civil or construction environment.
- WTR endorsements and a minimum Class 2 licence.
- A solid understanding of safe digging practices.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and provide references.
