About the Role We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team at the Qantas Lounge located in Auckland International Airport. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals that embody the Qantas brand, ensuring each guest enjoys a memorable experience. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, premium hospitality environment where excellence is the expected standard. Your Responsibilities As a Chef, your main responsibilities will include: - Preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of meals to a high standard, while ensuring portion control and quality. - Receiving, storing, and rotating kitchen supplies to maintain stock levels and minimize waste. - Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in accordance with food safety regulations. - Supporting menu development to accommodate dietary and cultural requirements. - Coaching and assisting kitchen team members while collaborating effectively with colleagues. About You To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: - An NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery or equivalent. - Previous experience working in a similar high-volume or premium cooking environment. - Strong communication skills and a flexible, can-do attitude, making you a true team player. - Physical fitness, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. - The ability to pass a police clearance and pre-employment checks.
