About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. This full-time position offers a blend of workshop and fieldwork, where you will be responsible for servicing tractors and a wide range of modern agricultural equipment.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and transmission faults.
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and service software to troubleshoot machinery issues.
- Maintain detailed service records and adhere to safety procedures.
- Provide professional support to clients both on-site and in the workshop.
- Work independently or collaboratively to complete jobs efficiently.
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you should possess:
- A relevant trade certificate or proven experience in a similar role.
- Experience as a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is desirable but not essential.
- A full New Zealand driver's licence.
- A strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrics.
- Diagnostic skills to quickly and accurately identify issues.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Proficiency in using service software and diagnostic tools; experience with John Deere Service Advisor is a bonus but not required.
- Self-motivation and a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A positive attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Organizational skills and reliability.

This is a full-time, permanent position with hours that may vary based on job location and workload. Overtime is frequently required during peak seasons and is well compensated with penalty rates for additional hours and call-outs.
