About the Role We are currently seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. This full-time position offers a blend of workshop and fieldwork, where you will be responsible for servicing tractors and a wide range of modern agricultural equipment. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: - Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and transmission faults. - Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance. - Utilize diagnostic tools and service software to troubleshoot machinery issues. - Maintain detailed service records and adhere to safety procedures. - Provide professional support to clients both on-site and in the workshop. - Work independently or collaboratively to complete jobs efficiently. Requirements To be considered for this opportunity, you should possess: - A relevant trade certificate or proven experience in a similar role. - Experience as a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is desirable but not essential. - A full New Zealand driver's licence. - A strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrics. - Diagnostic skills to quickly and accurately identify issues. - Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. - Proficiency in using service software and diagnostic tools; experience with John Deere Service Advisor is a bonus but not required. - Self-motivation and a strong work ethic. - Excellent communication skills. - A positive attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction. - Organizational skills and reliability.
