About the Role We are currently looking for a passionate Water Serviceperson to join our dynamic team in the Southland/Invercargill region. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and supporting our water networks, contributing to the well-being of a quarter of New Zealanders who rely on our services. As a Water Serviceperson, your responsibilities will include performing operations and maintenance tasks, as well as responding to faults within the Southland District Three Waters networks. Your daily duties will involve routine and planned preventative maintenance, along with installation and repairs on water, wastewater, and stormwater assets. This is a hands-on position where you will ensure that work is completed safely and meets both client and contract requirements. Requirements To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who are hardworking, have a positive attitude, and a passion for outdoor work. While Infrastructure Works Level 3 or 4 and/or Water Reticulation qualifications are preferred, we do provide training for the right individual. You must hold a full and clean Class 1 driver's license, with Class 2 and RTW as additional advantages. Hazard awareness training is beneficial. Experience and knowledge in urban and rural water reticulation system maintenance, along with a strong understanding of health and safety in the workplace, are essential.
