We are seeking an experienced Fitter Turner or Maintenance Engineer who is passionate about problem-solving and precision to join our forward-thinking team. About the Role
As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and assembling equipment. Your responsibilities will include delivering preventative maintenance programs and ensuring that our customers receive outstanding support both on-site and remotely.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling service work, preparing accurate quotes, and compiling all necessary documentation. You will conduct preventative maintenance and repairs at customer sites throughout Australasia and develop maintenance programs for both new and existing machinery.
You will assemble and fit rollformer systems and other mechanical equipment to meet high-quality standards, diagnose faults, and perform mechanical repairs across a variety of systems. Keeping detailed records of your work and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards will be essential. Additionally, you will support mechanical installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
What You’ll Bring
To be successful in this position, you should hold a trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. We are looking for someone with solid experience as a Fitter Turner, Maintenance Engineer, or in a similar role. You should be able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics and be skilled in using lathes, milling machines, and general workshop tools.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills are necessary, along with excellent communication and teamwork abilities. A sound knowledge of Health & Safety practices, as well as a methodical, proactive, and quality-driven approach, are essential traits we seek.
Desirable Experience
While not required, experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, or electrical systems would be advantageous. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing environments and competency in using Microsoft Office tools will also be beneficial. We appreciate candidates who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
