About the Role We are currently seeking a Transport Dispatcher to manage the day-to-day dispatch of freight delivery within our area network. This role is essential in ensuring that we meet our customer requirements and maintain our commitment to Delivery in Full on Time (DIFOT). In collaboration with our Planning team, the wider dispatch team, and the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for proactively planning driver resources to ensure proper coverage, especially during weekends and peak seasons. This position also involves managing operational changes or disruptions to ensure quick problem resolution and effective communication with our customers. Additionally, you will oversee fleet maintenance and compliance to align with service schedules. You will play a key role in the smooth operation of Dispatch, which includes driver management, health and safety oversight, time management, absence coverage, and the overall well-being of drivers under your supervision. Requirements - A minimum of 2 years of experience in transport dispatch - Familiarity with transport management systems; experience with Truck Mate is highly advantageous - A strong understanding of the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector in New Zealand - Excellent planning, organizing, record-keeping, and time management skills - Comprehensive geographical knowledge of New Zealand Benefits We offer secure employment with opportunities for career development and training.
