About the Company Ingham Cambridge is a proud member of the Ingham Group, one of New Zealand's largest and most respected privately-owned automotive dealer networks. We offer a supportive environment where employees can thrive, providing numerous opportunities for growth while maintaining a personalized touch. About the Role We are excited to announce an opportunity for a motivated and practical individual to join us as an Apprentice Automotive Technician. This role is perfect for someone looking to kickstart a hands-on career in the automotive industry. As an apprentice, you will be fully supported with training and mentoring, allowing you to earn while you learn. In this position, you will assist our technicians with vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostics. You will learn how to effectively use various tools, equipment, and automotive systems. Additionally, you will attend block courses to complete unit standards while keeping the workshop tidy, safe, and organized. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills on the job and progress each year. Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess a genuine interest in cars, mechanics, and hands-on work. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential, along with good communication skills and reliability. While some mechanical knowledge or experience (even as a hobby) is a bonus, it is not mandatory. A full New Zealand driver's license or being close to obtaining one is also required. Benefits We offer a fully supported MITO apprenticeship, providing you with a full-time paid position and regular hours. You will receive guidance from qualified technicians and team leaders in a professional and friendly workshop environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career with the Ingham Group. Why Start with Ingham? Joining Ingham Cambridge means becoming part of a team that values your contributions and recognizes your potential. We are large enough to offer great opportunities but small enough to ensure you feel known and appreciated. Ready to Get Started? If you are enthusiastic, reliable, and ready to embark on your journey to becoming a qualified Automotive Technician, we encourage you to apply now or visit our website at www.inghamdriven.nz.
