About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for the dismantling and assembly of temporary metal scaffolding to create work platforms and structures on building and industrial sites. This position may require flexibility in work locations across New Zealand, so a willingness to travel is advantageous.
Your primary duties will include:
- Assessing job requirements through careful planning and arrangement of scaffolding
- Selecting and preparing necessary materials for each job
- Loading and unloading scaffolding and equipment on-site
- Erecting scaffold structures by lifting, positioning sections, and securing them with bolts
- Establishing safe platforms and implementing safety measures
- Inspecting scaffolding for safety and making repairs as needed
- Installing guard rails and safety netting
- Maintaining cleanliness of the workspace, tools, and equipment
- Adhering to health and safety requirements
- Performing any additional duties as assigned
Pay and Hours
The hourly pay ranges from a minimum of $29.66 to a maximum of $34.00, depending on your level of experience. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2.5 years of relevant scaffolding experience or possess a relevant qualification
- Excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work in various locations throughout New Zealand
- A commitment to continuous learning and skill development within the industry
- Adherence to health and safety practices on-site
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
Please note that the role may require travel to multiple locations, including regions such as Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
This is a permanent, full-time role. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or residents, or hold a valid New Zealand work visa.
