About the Role As a Construction Technician, you will play a vital role in our operations. This position requires flexibility, as you may be asked to work on projects across various locations throughout New Zealand. You will be responsible for a range of tasks that align with your skills, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and delivering exceptional service that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Your responsibilities will include: - Erecting scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level. - Creating structures, forms, or chutes, and pouring concrete. - Covering subfloors with building paper to prevent moisture and installing hardwood or wood-strip-block floors. - Filling cracks or defects in plaster or plasterboard and sanding the patches. - Positioning and securing steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms. - Performing general laboring duties, including cleaning construction sites as directed by management. - Loading and unloading building materials, tools, and equipment and transporting them around construction sites. - Carrying out any other duties as assigned. Pay Conditions The hourly wage for this position ranges from a minimum of $25.00 to a maximum of $32.00, depending on experience and qualifications. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work each week. Requirements To be successful in this role, we seek candidates who have: - Some experience in the construction industry is preferable, although not essential. - A friendly demeanor, excellent time management skills, and a strong work ethic. - A commitment to learning and developing skills within the industry. - A sound knowledge of health and safety procedures. - Reliability and a strong work ethic. Location This position requires flexibility, as you may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
