About the Role
As an Experienced Structural Steel Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in our projects across multiple regions. Flexibility in work locations is preferred, as you may be required to assist in various areas, including Auckland, Waikato, Northland, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Interpreting and following engineering plans, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Assembling steel structures and securing them using bolts, rivets, or welding
- Installing structural steel components at construction sites
- Cutting, shaping, and welding steel materials to meet required specifications using machine or hand tools
- Inspecting and maintaining equipment and tools to ensure safe and effective operation
- Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborating with engineers, crane operators, riggers, and other tradespeople on site
- Performing repairs or modifications to existing steel structures as needed
- Working independently or as part of a small team
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in steel fixing, welding, fabrication, or related occupations is preferred
- A friendly demeanor and strong work ethic are essential
- Excellent time management skills
- A commitment to continuous learning and skill development within the industry
- A solid understanding of health and safety procedures
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Ability to pass a Criminal Check and Drug Test
Benefits
We offer competitive pay ranging from a minimum of $30.00 per hour to a maximum of $40.00 per hour, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week. Joining our team means being part of a supportive environment that values your contributions and encourages your professional growth.
