About the Role As a Construction Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our projects throughout the country. This position requires flexibility in work locations, as you may be called upon to assist in various regions. Your responsibilities will include tasks that align with your skills and capabilities, ensuring compliance with all contract specifications and delivering exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities will involve: - Erecting scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level - Creating structures, forms, or chutes and pouring concrete - Covering subfloors with building paper to prevent moisture, and laying hardwood, parquet, or wood-strip-block floors - Filling cracks or defects in plaster or plasterboard, followed by sanding using appropriate tools - Positioning and securing steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms with various tools - Performing general labor, including cleaning construction sites as required by management - Loading and unloading building materials, tools, and equipment, and transporting them around construction sites - Completing any other duties as assigned Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have: - Some experience in the construction industry is preferable, though not essential - A friendly demeanor combined with strong time management skills and a solid work ethic - A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry - Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures - Reliability and a strong work ethic Benefits We offer a competitive pay structure ranging from a minimum of $25.00 per hour to a maximum of $32.00 per hour, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week. Location You may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including but not limited to Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
