About the Role
We are currently seeking caring and dependable staff members to assist a delightful 12-year-old girl with unique needs. In this role, you will help her with her morning and afternoon routines, including personal care and school drop-off.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as showering and bathing
- Dropping her off at school
- Supporting household management and meal preparation
The job is located in Karori, Wellington, and is a permanent position. You will work Monday to Friday, with morning shifts from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and afternoon shifts from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please note that the duration of these hours may vary depending on the specific needs of the individuals we support.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, we prefer candidates who have prior personal care experience and experience working with children with special needs, although this is not required. A kind, patient, and positive approach is essential.
Additionally, you must have access to a car and possess a full driver’s license, as this is a community-based role. A legal right to work in New Zealand is also a requirement. This position is ideally suited for someone local to Karori or a college/university student seeking extra hours of work.

We offer a competitive pay band ranging from $24.13 to $30.03 per hour, based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017, which assesses hourly pay rates based on healthcare qualifications. Our benefits include:
