About the Role
We are seeking a talented Marine Upholsterer, Trimmer, and Cover Fabricator to join our Havelock operation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a close-knit team environment and takes pride in their work. In this role, you will spend approximately 75% of your time on marine-focused projects, including luxury boat seats, biminis, clears, carpets, and bespoke covers. The remaining time will involve general upholstery tasks, vehicle interiors, shade solutions, and tarpaulins. You will primarily work from our Havelock workshop, with the option to be based in Blenheim, which is a scenic 20-minute drive away.
Requirements
- Proven experience in marine or automotive upholstery is ideal
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage projects from start to finish
- Proficiency in handling various materials, including canvas, PVC, mesh, and vinyl
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- A genuine passion for boats and the outdoors
