About the Role We are looking for an experienced Door Technician to join our team at McMurdo Station, where you will have the chance to work in a unique and challenging environment. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in remote settings and are eager to take on new adventures. The position offers two intakes, allowing you to choose one or participate in both: Intake 1: October 2025 to February 2026 Intake 2: February 2026 to October 2026 Your compensation will be competitive, with pay rates as follows: - $45 per hour for wages - $55 per hour for contracting Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have: - Unrestricted New Zealand work rights (please note that we do not provide sponsorship or visa variations) - Proven experience as a door technician, specifically with large industrial roller doors, along with references to support your experience What to Expect When You’re Down There During your assignment at McMurdo Station, we will provide: - Accommodation in a shared room - Free meals - Complimentary flights from any major New Zealand airport Your work schedule will typically be Monday to Saturday, from 7 am to 5 pm.
