About the Role
We are seeking a Pipelines Serviceperson to join our major pipe and fabrication team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that the Bulk Water network in the Wellington region meets the community's needs in an environmentally safe and hygienic manner. Your contributions will directly support the region's Long-Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP), Annual Plan, and Service Level Agreements.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking maintenance work on Bulk Water Assets
- Assisting in the development of maintenance plans for all related equipment
- Keeping valves and fittings on the Bulk Water Network in serviceable condition
- Efficiently managing assets by monitoring their age, condition, and performance
- Installing flowmeters and other network equipment
Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A current, full clean New Zealand driver's licence
- NZQA Level 1 Literacy
- New Zealand National Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Pipeline Construction and Maintenance) Level 3 or equivalent qualifications
- A minimum of two years’ experience working in construction environments
- Solid experience using hand and power tools
