Structural Steel Fabricator - Wellington

Position: Structural Steel Fabricator Location: Nationwide - Various regions in New Zealand Salary: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour, Full-time, Permanent (Minimum 30 hours guaranteed weekly) Benefits: PPE and tools provided, Opportunity to work on major infrastructure and commercial projects Company Overview: Extrastaff, a leading Labor Hire Company, is seeking experienced Structural Steel Fabricators for full-time roles on infrastructure and commercial construction projects across New Zealand. Key Responsibilities: - Interpret engineering plans and drawings for accurate placement and securing of structural steel components - Tie reinforcement steel using appropriate techniques - Collaborate with site teams to ensure safe and timely installation of steelwork - Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards on-site - Work efficiently in large construction teams under strict deadlines Requirements: - Minimum 2 years' experience in structural steel placement and reinforcement tying - Ability to read and work from technical drawings - Strong physical fitness and manual dexterity - Knowledge of safety procedures and quality control in steel construction - Experience in commercial, civil, or infrastructure projects preferred - Trade experience or qualifications are advantageous Nationwide Opportunity: This role is open to applicants from various regions in New Zealand, including North Island (Northland, Auckland, Waikato, etc.) and South Island (Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, etc.).
