About the Company At Extrastaff, we are dedicated to connecting skilled workers with reputable clients in the construction industry. We are currently seeking Formworkers and experienced Civil Hammerhands for ongoing projects throughout the year. Our clients are focused on residential and light commercial construction, and we are looking for individuals who are ready to contribute their expertise to these projects. About the Role We are looking for candidates who have experience in the following areas: - Formwork, site foundations, boxing, and steel structures - Steel tying - Concrete placing and finishing - Previous work on residential or light commercial sites If you possess any of these skills, we encourage you to reach out to us. Job Requirements To be considered for this position, you must be able to work independently without supervision. A background as a Formworker, Civil Hammerhand, or Carpenter on residential site foundations is essential. We prefer candidates who have their own tools, including both power and hand tools. Additionally, a Site Safe certification is required, but we can assist you in obtaining this if necessary. Candidates should also be willing to undergo a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Criminal Conviction Check and a pre-employment drug test. Benefits We offer an ongoing workload throughout the rest of the year, along with opportunities for temporary to permanent positions. On average, our employees work over 45 hours a week. The pay rates are as follows: - Civil Hammerhand: Between $27 and $30 per hour, depending on experience and skill set - Formworker / Civil Carpenter: Between $30 and $35 per hour, depending on experience and skill set There is also the possibility of working away from Canterbury in the coming months, should you be interested.
