About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our warehouse team at the Carlyle Street Electrical Warehouse. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for those looking to build a career in warehousing or retail. You will play a vital role in assisting with customer queries, managing stock movements, and ensuring efficient storage practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing all receiving, storage, delivery, and paperwork procedures promptly while assisting with stock movements.
- Providing exceptional customer service, including serving customers collecting goods from the warehouse and handling phone inquiries.
- Assisting with stock movements, which may involve driving the shuttle truck as needed.
- Unloading trucks and, when practical, loading goods into customers' vehicles.
- Adhering to safe work practices, particularly when performing heavy lifting, operating machinery and vehicles, and working at heights.
- Maintaining a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines.
- Assisting with stocktake preparation and execution, including availability during stocktake if required.
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
- Physical capability to assist with manual handling tasks.
- Basic computer skills, along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A practical understanding of Health and Safety guidelines and procedures, including manual handling, with the ability to follow instructions and processes.
- Previous customer service or warehouse experience is desirable.
- A current, full New Zealand Driver’s Licence is also desirable.
