About the Role
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Christchurch Warehouse team in a full-time capacity. This role is vital to our operations, as it involves assisting with customer queries, stock movement, and storage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing all receiving, storage, delivery, and paperwork procedures efficiently while assisting with stock movements.
- Providing exceptional customer service by promptly assisting customers who are picking up goods from the warehouse and responding to phone inquiries.
- Driving the shuttle truck as needed, unloading trucks, and loading goods into customer vehicles when required.
- Adhering to safe work practices during heavy lifting, operating Crown stock pickers, and working at heights.
- Maintaining a strong focus on health and safety compliance and practices at all times.
- Assisting with stocktake preparation and execution, including being available for the duration of the stocktake if needed.
About You
We are looking for candidates who possess the following attributes:
- Physical capability to assist with manual handling tasks.
- Basic computer skills along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A practical understanding of health and safety guidelines and procedures, including manual handling, with the ability to follow instructions and processes.
- Previous experience in customer service or warehouse roles is desirable.
- A current full New Zealand driver’s license with experience driving manual transmission vehicles is essential.
- Flexibility to work full-time hours, including weekends.
