About the Role We are seeking an organized and proactive individual to step into a key leadership position within our dairy operations. This role involves coordinating the dispatch of trucks, supervising a team of drivers, and ensuring an efficient dairy collection process. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in upholding our high standards of compliance and operational excellence. Work Pattern This is a full-time, permanent position with a regular rotating roster. - Shifts will alternate between days and nights: 2 days on dayshift, followed by 2 nights on nightshift, and then 4 days off. - Average shift length is between 10 to 12 hours, with flexibility required to accommodate business and seasonal needs. Requirements We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: - Experience in operations: You have substantial experience in the transport industry, particularly in dispatching, scheduling, and leading teams. - Leadership skills: You can motivate and guide teams to ensure efficient collaboration in a fast-paced environment. - Customer focus: You prioritize client satisfaction by ensuring services are efficient, professional, and of the highest quality. - Communication: You are adept at engaging with various stakeholders, including team members, clients, and internal contacts. - Transport sector knowledge: You possess a solid understanding of transport and logistics. - Health and safety: You are knowledgeable about workplace safety and lead by example. - Financial acumen: You are comfortable managing budgets and ensuring operational efficiency. - Local knowledge: Familiarity with the Canterbury and South Canterbury regions is an advantage.
