We specialize in efficient and reliable container delivery services across designated routes. As we continue to expand our operations and enhance our service quality, we are looking for a dedicated Transport Manager to lead our growing team and ensure the smooth execution of our daily operations. About the Role The Transport Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing our operations, including route planning, driver management, and compliance with container service standards and transport regulations. This leadership position focuses on operational efficiency, safety, and team coordination, ensuring that our service delivery meets the highest standards. Key Responsibilities The Transport Manager will be responsible for: - Planning and coordinating daily transport operations to ensure timely deliveries and service efficiency. - Receiving orders and bookings, and effectively planning transportation schedules for container deliveries to customers. - Maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reports, as well as coordinating activities related to the arrival and de-hire of containers. - Managing vehicle dispatch, routing, and scheduling based on service demand. - Monitoring transport activities to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards. - Coordinating vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspection schedules. - Maintaining transport and operational records, including delivery reports, budgets, and regulatory compliance. - Liaising with suppliers, clients, and internal departments to facilitate smooth logistics operations. - Supervising, training, and managing drivers and transport staff. - Reviewing operational procedures and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: - A qualification at NZQF Level 4 or a minimum of one year of full-time work experience in a transport management or logistics coordination role. - Excellent organizational and leadership skills. - The ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of drivers. - A Class 1 NZ Drivers License. - Availability to work Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with potential weekend work required due to operational needs. Additional Notes This position is offered as a full-time permanent role. Candidates must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand or eligible to apply for a visa under the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) program.
