Automation Engineer - SOUTHLAND

As our client continues to grow steadily, we are looking for an Automation Engineer to join their team at the Mataura site in Southland. About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and installation of industrial automation equipment and systems at our busy Mataura site. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and collaborate closely with site electricians. This position not only allows you to be the go-to automation specialist for the site but also offers opportunities for personal and professional growth within an established international company. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess the following core competencies and professional expertise: - Proficiency in coding and programming, with experience in SCADA systems - Familiarity with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and Allen Bradley systems - Previous experience in FMCG processing plant maintenance - A relevant engineering qualification recognized in New Zealand - Strong computer literacy, including a good working knowledge of PC hardware and local area networks (LANs) - Excellent communication skills in English Please note that we can only consider candidates with New Zealand work rights, including New Zealand residents, citizens, or those holding an open work visa with no restrictions.
