We are a well-established engineering firm specializing in heavy fabrication for the industrial sector. Our focus includes projects related to bulk transport and saw milling equipment. We operate from a modern workshop located in the northern part of Christchurch, where we complete all fabrication and fitting tasks.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Fitter Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical drawings, engaging in heavy fabrication, and performing heavy mechanical fitting. You will also be skilled in MIG, Flux Core, and Stick welding (FCAW & SMAW) and will thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires meeting tight deadlines.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role. You must be a competent Heavy Fabricator or Fitter Welder, capable of working independently and completing tasks from start to finish. Additionally, you should possess the ability to fabricate accurately from technical drawings and demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety practices.
