About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters and Engineers who are ready to advance their careers within Kilcoy's state-of-the-art Australian facilities. In this hands-on position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our plant operations.
Your responsibilities will include delivering both reactive and preventative maintenance across the facility to minimize downtime and enhance the performance of our mechanical assets. You will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to support safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing timely reactive and preventative maintenance support to minimize production losses
- Ensuring optimal utilization of current and future mechanical assets
- Complying with all relevant workplace health and safety regulations, quality standards, and legislative requirements
- Maintaining a solid understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Completing maintenance tasks efficiently, focusing on budget, utility, and consumable efficiency
- Supporting Engineering and Production Managers/Supervisors in making informed decisions regarding equipment shutdowns based on risk management principles
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Existing working rights in Australia; we are not able to sponsor candidates for this role
- Trade qualification in maintenance or mechanical engineering
- Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or processing environment, preferably in meat or FMCG
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Solid understanding of compliance, SOPs, and plant safety standards
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Flexible approach with a positive, can-do attitude
