About the Role:
We are looking for an Experienced Retail Sales Assistant to join our energetic team at our Timaru location. This is an excellent opportunity for Sales Assistants who are eager to take on more responsibility and build a strong foundation for their retail careers. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to enhance your skills in the retail sector, this role is perfect for you. We are seeking someone available to work on a casual basis.
What Will You Be Doing?
In this role, you will handle counter and till operations, assist customers with first-class service, and potentially oversee a department. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining a clean and tidy department, retrieving stock and replenishing shelves, supporting online customers by efficiently picking and packing orders, ensuring accurate pricing on tickets, and occasionally coaching team members.
What Will You Need to Bring to This Role?
To succeed in this position, you should have experience in a retail environment and a strong customer service mindset, recognizing the importance of our customers. You will be prepared to take on department lead roles and key-holder responsibilities, with the ability to motivate and lead other team members. A driven and motivated attitude, flexibility to adapt to the demands of retail, a positive outlook, and the capacity to work independently without supervision are also essential.
