About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated individual for a part-time sales position in our Timaru store, specifically within the Computers and Communication department. This role offers a base wage with the potential for uncapped commission, allowing you to earn an average of $28 or more per hour based on your sales performance.
In this customer-focused position, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships with our customers. We will provide you with comprehensive training on our computer and communication products, enabling you to maximize your knowledge and skills in assisting customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Selling computer and communication products and services
- Utilizing our point of sale and customer service system
- Maintaining the presentation of the department
- Assisting with operational tasks, such as stock takes
- Working across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
About You
We are looking for a strong communicator who is eager to contribute and earn rewards through hard work. With the opportunity for uncapped commission, you will have control over your earnings.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A willingness to learn quickly and an interest in the retail industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer literacy and numeracy skills
- Previous retail sales and point of sale system experience (desirable)
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays
