About the Role
We are currently seeking empathetic and passionate Support Workers to join our specialist team in Kaitaia, specifically to support high-needs clients. Our teams are our greatest asset, and we are dedicated to employing and training exceptional individuals. As a Specialist Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients achieve their goals and reach their full potential through both practical and emotional support. Your responsibilities will vary according to individual care plans, which may include the following tasks:
- Meal preparation
- Community outings and integration
- Administering medication
- Personal care (showering, toileting, etc.)
- Bowel management, manual handling, and hoist transfers
- Home management
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess a desire to help and support others, striving for excellence in all that they do. While previous healthcare or caregiving experience is desirable, it is not essential.
Key requirements include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work alternative weekends
- Healthcare qualifications are advantageous
- A full New Zealand driver's license and reliable transport are required for most positions
