Healthcare Assistant

Location: Radius Baycare, 361 Puketona Road, Haruru Falls, Paihia 0200 Hours of Work: Full time, approximately 30 hours per week Pay Rate: $26.94 - $29.10 per hour, dependent on completed caregiving qualification About the Company At Radius Care, we are a New Zealand owned and operated organization specializing in health and aged care for the elderly and disabled. As one of the leading healthcare providers in New Zealand, we are dedicated to excellence in care. About the Role We are seeking dedicated caregivers to join our team at Radius Baycare. In this role, you will provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Building meaningful relationships with residents and their families is essential, as is working closely with your team to implement individual care plans. We offer full training to ensure you are well-prepared for your responsibilities. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: - Assisting with personal care while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote their independence. - Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner. - Responding quickly to resident requests and providing relevant information. - Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records. - Assisting with handovers during shift changes. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: - A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 (or equivalent) along with three years of relevant experience; or a New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent). - Strong people skills and empathy for the elderly and their families. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis.
