About the Role
We are looking for an innovative and passionate Physiotherapist to join our Allied Health Team as a Clinical Leader in Physiotherapy. In this role, you will provide day-to-day clinical, professional, and cultural leadership to the physiotherapy team. You will also contribute to the strategic planning of the department while managing clinical caseloads. Additionally, you will support the Allied Health Team Manager in clinical aspects such as recruitment, onboarding, and rostering.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a core focus on supporting, enabling, and developing our team to deliver high-quality results for our patients. Your strong communication skills will enable you to effectively delegate responsibilities and build trust within the team. As a Clinical Leader, you will be resilient to change and capable of having honest and courageous conversations that drive improvement and equitable outcomes for the individuals and whanau we care for.
Essential Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
- Experience in clinical teaching, training, and staff development
- Desirable experience in people leadership or management
- Ability to make judgements in complex situations with incomplete information
- Experience in case management
- Knowledge of New Zealand Health and Disability sector standards and the Privacy Act within a health context
- Experience in quality and service improvement activities
- Familiarity with policy and procedure review and development
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or a commitment to beginning your learning journey
- Experience in projects or initiatives that align with Te Tiriti principles, including the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches in healthcare settings
