    About the Company The Open Home Foundation (OHF) is a Christian community organization dedicated to ensuring that every child and young person has the opportunity to grow up in a secure, loving family. Our vision focuses on providing deep care and support that enriches the lives of children and young people throughout their lives. About the Role We are currently seeking a Social Worker to join our West Coast Service Centre. This role is ideal for someone who shares our vision and is passionate about working closely with children (tamariki), young people (rangatahi), families (whanau), and the wider community. The successful candidate will employ a strengths-based and culturally appropriate approach that promotes family well-being and supports whanau mauri ora. Requirements To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience: - A Social Work qualification with a minimum of three years of experience - Registration with the Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) or eligibility for registration - Knowledge and experience in Care and Protection Social Work - Familiarity with The Oranga Tamariki Act 1989 and its Family Court processes - A solid understanding of the special relationship between Maori and Tauiwi, along with strong empathy for the organization’s values - At least two years of experience in care and protection social work and trauma-informed practice - A passion for supporting caregivers of tamariki and rangatahi - A full New Zealand driver’s license is essential - An alignment with the Open Home Foundation’s Christian Kaupapa Candidates must be available to work throughout the Westport and Hokitika regions. Benefits The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from $68,038 to $102,000, depending on experience.
