    Job Title: Cafe Manager About the Company We are a vibrant cafe dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Our team is committed to quality, customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back. We are currently seeking a Cafe Manager who will play a crucial role in overseeing our daily operations and ensuring our team delivers the best service possible. About the Role As the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our cafe. This includes preparing and managing staff schedules, developing and implementing cafe policies and procedures, and planning the menu in collaboration with our chef. You will be the face of our cafe, welcoming and hosting customers while ensuring they receive exceptional service. Your responsibilities will also include taking reservations, managing customer orders, and serving food and drinks. You will ensure quality assurance for food, drinks, and service, leading our team to achieve maximum performance. Additionally, you will enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards, maintain equipment, and gather customer feedback to enhance their experience. Inventory management will be part of your role, as you will take stock of supplies, order new items, and ensure purchases stay within budget. You will also plan promotions, organize events, and hire and onboard new staff as needed. Regular training for all team members will be essential to maintain high service standards. Furthermore, you will control the cafe’s budget, maintain updated financial records, and oversee daily cash handling and POS operations. You will report directly to the Owner. Requirements To be considered for this position, candidates should have a qualification at level 4 or above in management or hospitality. Alternatively, if you do not have a formal qualification, a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required. We are looking for individuals with excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. Full-time availability is necessary, including the ability to work weekends and public holidays if required. A clean criminal record is essential, and candidates must be New Zealand citizens or residents. Benefits This position offers a competitive pay rate ranging from a minimum of $30 per hour to a maximum of $35 per hour. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work per week, providing a permanent full-time opportunity in a dynamic and supportive environment.
