About the Role In this role, you will be the public face of our stores, engaging with local groups, managing sponsorships, and representing Mitre 10 at community events. Your primary focus will be to lead marketing efforts across various channels, creating engaging content and visuals that reflect our commitment to the community. Key Responsibilities Community Engagement & Sponsorships You will build and maintain strong relationships with schools, community groups, and local organizations. This includes managing sponsorship requests and partnerships that align with our values. Additionally, you will work closely with other Mitre 10 marketing coordinators throughout Christchurch and represent our stores at community events. Marketing & Promotions You will plan and execute marketing campaigns across social media, print, radio, and other platforms. Working collaboratively with internal teams, you will promote in-store events and seasonal campaigns. Creating compelling content that highlights our community involvement will be a key aspect of this role. Design & Visual Communication Your responsibilities will also include designing signage, billboards, and promotional materials using tools such as Adobe InDesign. Ensuring brand consistency across all communications will be essential. Budgeting & Planning You will manage marketing and sponsorship budgets while tracking and reporting on campaign performance and engagement outcomes. Requirements We are looking for candidates with proven experience in marketing and/or community engagement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with flexible availability for occasional weekend and evening events. A creative thinker with a proactive attitude and proficiency in design platforms such as Adobe InDesign and Canva is preferred. A solid understanding of Mitre 10's role in the local community is also important. Desirable Attributes We value a passion for community development and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Familiarity with retail environments and customer experience will be advantageous.
