About the Role We are currently seeking an Internal Translator who will be responsible for linguistically and culturally interpreting written material. Your role will involve maintaining or replicating the structure and style of the original text while ensuring the accuracy of ideas and facts. To succeed in this position, you should be fluent in two or more languages and possess the skills to research industry-specific terminology. A strong commitment to quality and accuracy is essential, along with outstanding problem-solving abilities when faced with complex content and instructions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the IQVIA Translations Services team to enhance the effectiveness of our operations. This will involve updating or improving glossaries, Translation Memories, Style Guides, and other internal assets, as well as identifying gaps in instructions or external issues that could impact our commitment to clients. Additionally, you will proofread translated texts for terminology, grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to our quality commitments. Requirements - Native speaker of Japanese - Fluency in source language(s) - A minimum of 3 years of experience translating, reviewing, and editing life sciences content, including clinical trial documents - A tertiary or university degree in translation or linguistics and at least 3 years of translation experience, or no university degree with at least 5 years of translation experience - Experience with translation management systems and computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools Interview Process Candidates selected for this role will be required to complete a short video assessment, which is mandatory for all applicants and will take no more than 20 minutes.
