About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Tour/Driver Guide to join our team and help deliver exceptional service to our clients during the busy upcoming summer season. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing our guests' experiences while exploring the stunning landscapes of New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
Hospitality is key – You will greet and entertain tourists throughout their tour experience.
Leadership – You will lead and manage guided tours, providing clear and engaging commentary.
Strong organizational skills – You will plan itineraries and coordinate transport, accommodation, and entry to attractions.
Knowledge – You will confidently answer tourists’ questions about various sites.
Safety first – You will safely drive tourists to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong knowledge of New Zealand to provide informative commentary.
- A Passenger Endorsement on a full New Zealand driver license.
- Fluency in Japanese is preferred, as a significant portion of our clients are from Japan.
- A willingness to work weekends and during the Christmas period, as this is our peak season.
- A positive outlook and friendly demeanor.
- Physical fitness, as the role requires walking and occasionally lifting luggage for tourists.
Benefits
We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including:
- A wage ranging from $25 to $32 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
- A minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
- The work location will be in Henderson, Auckland, where you will guide tourists within the Auckland area.
