About the Role We are currently seeking an energetic and motivated Team Leader to join our Intensive Support Service for Tamariki in Whanganui. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team that assists young people in living as independently as possible. Your focus will be on providing a safe environment where they can build confidence, establish friendships, and engage with the community. The position involves a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, so flexibility in your schedule is essential to effectively support your team across different times. What does the role involve? As a Team Leader, your primary responsibility will be to assist our Tamariki with disabilities in achieving greater independence while also leading and motivating your team. Your daily activities may include: - Organizing meaningful and purposeful activities both at home and in the community, aimed at maximizing independence and involving Whanau - Managing household tasks such as meal preparation, daily care routines, and personal care - Collaborating with your team to implement personal support plans consistently, fostering effective teamwork and communication - Creating a warm and nurturing living environment that welcomes ideas and feedback, ensuring each individual is supported in reaching their personal goals What is in it for you?
