About the Role
In this position, you will play a key role in tracking, preparing, creating, maintaining, and filing patient medical records. The nature of this work can be both busy and physically demanding, so it is important that you are reasonably fit and able to function effectively as part of a team while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. This role is well-suited for individuals who have an understanding of the health sector or records management. The salary range for this position is $58,150 - $64,584.
About the Team/Service Location
Our Clinical Records team is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient management of patient records. We strive to deliver a well-organized and timely administrative support function that is responsive and flexible to the evolving needs of our service and organization.
About You
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Administration experience in a health environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize changing workloads while preserving accuracy and confidentiality
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work unsupervised when applicable
- High level of English comprehension with outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of the Privacy Act and other legislation relevant to patient records
