We are currently seeking a Domestic Technician to join our Christchurch Airport branch to help ensure our fleet is clean, safe, and ready for the next adventure. About the Role As a Domestic Technician, you will be the first point of care for our motorhomes and campervans upon their return from customer journeys. Your primary responsibility will be to perform minor repairs and ensure that each vehicle meets Travvia's high standards of presentation and safety. Your contributions will play a crucial role in maintaining our customers' confidence and satisfaction as they embark on their adventures. Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for performing minor domestic repairs and maintenance on returned vehicles. Ensuring that all work meets Travvia's compliance and quality standards will be paramount. You will maintain accurate records of completed work and assist with operational support throughout the branch. Supporting mechanics when needed and responding professionally to customer inquiries during drop-off will also be part of your role. If there are unresolved issues or vehicle concerns, you will escalate these to management. Additionally, you will uphold a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment while complying with health and safety regulations at all times. Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess a good general knowledge of car mechanics and have a strong attention to detail, taking pride in their workmanship. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, along with a valid New Zealand full driver’s license. A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently are crucial, as is the flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends. We seek a team player with a can-do attitude, and previous experience in tourism, automotive, or customer-facing roles would be advantageous. Comfort with using email and basic computer systems is also necessary.
