We foster a nurturing and supportive culture, where we consider ourselves a whānau. About the Role We are currently seeking a Caregiver to join our team at Colwyn House Lifecare. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring a minimum of 32 hours per week. The hourly rate ranges from $27.80 to $30.03, with shifts available during the AM, PM, nights, and weekends. In this role, you will have the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care with kindness and patience in a supportive atmosphere. Your Skills and Experience To be successful in this position, you should possess: - Proven experience in caring for others, ideally in an aged care environment. - A minimum NZQA Level 3 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent qualification from New Zealand or overseas (such as a Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing). - Experience working with individuals with dementia is desirable. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. - A genuine passion for helping people, along with outstanding customer service skills and a friendly, positive attitude. - A commitment to continuous improvement, coupled with a sound understanding of health and safety procedures.
