About the Role We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Retail Sales Team Member at our Ponsonby store. In this role, you will be an integral part of our team, engaging with customers and helping them find the products and solutions they need. Requirements To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications: - Knowledge of DIY and home improvement - Previous retail experience - Confidence in engaging and approaching customers - A strong desire to work collaboratively as part of a team - Sufficient strength and fitness for merchandising and service tasks - A positive and engaging personality focused on providing effective solutions for customers - A willingness to learn and grow, while supporting your team's development A Day in the Life As a Retail Sales Team Member, your daily responsibilities will include: - Engaging with customers to assist them in finding products and solutions - Working with processes to ensure stock accuracy and accountability - Performing light stepladder work to stow and merchandise stock - Assisting in various departments across the store as needed - Carrying out general daily shop duties to maintain a clean and safe environment - Occasionally covering till service during breaks or peak times - Committing to a full-time, 40-hour work week, including one weekend day - Contributing to a positive, dynamic, and engaging team culture - Demonstrating excellent timekeeping and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively - Feeling supported and valued within the team Benefits We are committed to providing a safe and supportive work environment.
