    Description

About the Company At Bidfood, we pride ourselves on being a decentralized organization. Despite having a revenue of $1.1 billion in New Zealand, which places us among the country's largest businesses, we prioritize agility and innovation over traditional corporate structures. Each of our 28 Branch General Managers operates as an entrepreneur, empowered to manage their branch according to the unique needs of their business, region, and customers. Many of our GMs have even appointed Assistant General Managers, with recent promotions showcasing young talent at just 25 years old. About the Role As a BidCadet, you will have the opportunity to advance towards a leadership role within Bidfood through a combination of training, mentorship, and hands-on experiences. We are committed to your professional development and aim to fast-track your career within just two years. In your first year, you will rotate through various roles and branches across New Zealand, gaining practical experience that will provide you with a solid foundation in operations and business functions. This diverse exposure will help you build essential skills and knowledge that will benefit you throughout your career. You will also participate in our Emerging Leaders Programme, which is designed to prepare you for your next step as a leader. By your second year, you will transition into a permanent position within Bidfood, with opportunities available in areas such as Customer Service, Operations, Dispatch, Account Management, Finance, Health & Safety, and Purchasing. We do require flexibility in terms of location, as some roles may be based in our main centers or smaller towns across New Zealand. Requirements We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to success, ideally through completing a degree or other qualifications. You should be eager to learn and grow, as we are enthusiastic about training our employees. We value individuals who enjoy taking on new challenges, as you may be involved in various projects. A hands-on approach is essential, as you may need to work in different environments, including freezers and night shifts when necessary. Flexibility is key, as you will be expected to work at any of our 30 branches throughout New Zealand, and you should be prepared for potential relocations. It is important that you can answer 'yes' to the following questions before applying: - Are you available for an Assessment Centre on the evening of Tuesday, July 15? - Can you start full-time work in Auckland for five weeks beginning Monday, July 28? - Are you eligible to work in New Zealand without sponsorship? - Are you mobile and willing to work outside of Auckland? - Do you have a valid driver’s license, as some branches may not be easily accessible by public transport? Benefits To enhance your application, we encourage you to provide detailed responses to the “tell us about” questions. While we appreciate the use of AI, we want to ensure that your answers reflect your own experiences, as we will verify the information provided. We recommend applying early, as we will screen applicants as they come in. We look forward to hearing from you and learning why you believe Bidfood is the right fit for you.
