About the Role
We are seeking an Inventory Controller to join our Warehousing and Distribution team, working from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This position reports directly to the Inventory Manager and focuses on enhancing and maintaining the accuracy of inventory at our Finished Goods Warehouse located in East Tamaki.
The Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and updating inventory records in our warehouse management system on a daily basis.
- Conducting regular cycle counts using RF scanners and material handling equipment (MHE).
- Ensuring and maintaining inventory accuracy to exceed 98% at both line and bin level.
- Reconciling daily cycle counts, recording, investigating, and reporting on variances, along with performing root cause analysis.
- Assisting the Inventory Manager and finance team with quarterly stock takes.
- Participating in daily production meetings to address any inventory-related issues.
- Collaborating with warehouse teams to suggest, implement, and enhance our systems and processes, highlighting the importance of strong communication and teamwork.
- Supporting the Inventory Manager with inventory projects and variance investigations.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Inventory Control within a production or warehousing environment.
- A valid forklift, reach, and stock picker license.
- A professional attitude coupled with strong communication skills.
- Preference for experience in Navision, although training will be provided for those who need it.
- Strong analytical skills and a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- A passion for accuracy and attention to detail.
- A customer service orientation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
- A positive attitude and a collaborative team spirit.
