About the Role We are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our passionate WellFood Department at Hillmorton Hospital. This permanent part-time position consists of 32 hours a week, scheduled Monday to Thursday, with shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. We are open to negotiating hours during the interview process. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping us provide nutritious meals to our patients (turoro) and their families (whānau). Our culinary team ensures that each patient’s needs are met to the highest standards by following standardized recipes and showcasing creativity in food presentation, all while maintaining clean and organized workspaces. The starting salary for this position is $29.25 per hour, based on the Etu Multi-Employer Collective Agreement. About You We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and flexible individual who shares our passion for food and community service. You will be responsible for adhering to our Food Control Plan, following Health New Zealand's code of conduct, and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures. Full training will be provided to all new team members.
